The Phoenix Education Trust supports Student Voice (formally the English Secondary Student's Association, ESSA), a membership organisation run by students for students.  It is working to become a representative body for secondary school students throughout the UK.  Student Voice runs consultations and campaigns along with hosting events and sending young speakers to the places where issues about education are being discussed and decided upon.

If you're a student and want to have a say about democratic education you can join Student Voice, and even get involved in running it.

English students aren't the only people that think having a say in education is important. The Organising Bureau of European School Students Unions (OBESSU) is the umbrella organisation for European student bodies. At present the England is not represented at OBESSU but Student Voice are working with them towards having English student views represented alongside their European Counterparts.  More information about OBESSU can be found at

If you are looking for how primary school students can get involved or how students can connect  with Phoenix directly please get in touch.
