The Phoenix Education Trust has 23 years worth of experience working in partnership with young people, teachers, parents, policymakers, and multiple stakeholders to amplify student voices and embed collaborative, democratic, human-centred, and rights-respecting systems, practises, and structures in mainstream schools and self-directed environments.

The Trust is a pioneering organisation providing creative and practical support that enhances student participation and engagement in schools and removes common barriers to learning.
Our Mission
Our mission is to collaboratively work alongside young people, educators, and parents to positively transform the broad structures and individual young people's experiences of education.
The Phoenix Education Trust has helped to establish national and international networks and organisations. These include Freedom to Learn, which is an independent network powered by Phoenix Education; StudentVoice, which is England’s first representative body of secondary school students independently run by a group of 11–19-year-olds; and the European Democratic Education Community (EUDEC), which promotes democratic education as a sensible educational model for democratic countries in Europe.
